By IDOL is a luxury brand of handbags created by owner, designer, and Brooklyn, NY native, Chimere Ingram. While working in fashion for high-end brands like Stella McCartney and Celine, Chimere developed a love of elegant, tailored attire, and well-crafted accessories, which inspired her to create By IDOL handbags. The By IDOL brand name and handbags were created with intention. One day as Chimere was reflecting, she wrote the words “I dream of love.” After writing those words, God inspired her to convert them into the acronym IDOL. In Chimere’s perspective, she believes that God is truly worthy of being idolized and glorified, and she wants that level of admiration to be reflected through anyone wearing a By IDOL handbag. By IDOL handbags are made here in the U.S. by talented and skillful artisans. The luxurious and stylish line of handbags represent a conscious, radiant, and sexy individual. Owning this bag with its timeless qualities and elegant design is an investment and keepsake that can be passed down to generations.
By IDOL’s Purpose Bag is part of the introductory collection. The Purpose Bag is a leather travel bag with a unique characteristic of being collapsible and flattened out—an essential element in the Golden Age of Travel. Chimere created the Purpose Bag with the objective of being able to conveniently transport one or more bags in luggage and safely preserve them in storage spaces. Her personality and classic style are also seen through the Purpose Bag.
The By IDOL line will launch its signature seed size (small) Purpose Bag online in August 2022. The basket shaped, durable calfskin leather bag features minimal hardware, colorful suede inner lining, and detailed stitching. The bag’s natural finish, clean details, and By IDOL logo symbolize its authenticity. The first drop will feature neutral and classic black, and a seasonal color. As the line expands, an assortment of handbag styles and accessories will be added to the By IDOL line.
